Bologna, Antonietta (nee Ruggeri)

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, March 14, 2022 in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her loving husband Gaetano in 2006. Beloved sister of Gina (late Italo) Castellani. Nina is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews in London, Cambridge, Montreal and Italy as well as sister in-law Lidia. Predeceased by parents Ermenia and Filippo Ruggeri, brothers Silvio and Elio (Flora) Ruggeri. Antonietta was born in Avezzano, Italy where she met and married the love of her life Gaetano before beginning a new life together in Canada. She was a kind, gentle woman with a keen sense for fashion and impeccable taste. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.

Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary’s Church Restoration Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph’s Hospice.
