Viktoria Zeller

Obituary of Viktoria Zeller

Zeller, Viktoria (nee Konrad)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our precious Mom, Viktoria Zeller on February 13, 2022 in her 99th year. Predeceased by husband Anton in 1978. They emigrated from Salzburg, Austria to Canada in 1954. She will be deeply missed by her children Kathy Komsic (the late Zdravko 2016), Monica Price (Tim) and Barbara Trovato (Frank). Cherished Oma of Sofija (Rob), Viktor (Julie), Graham (Laura), Mark (Terri Lynn) and Matthew (Julia). Beloved Great Oma of Sebastian, Justin, Nickolas, Anthony and proud “Oma Oma” of Lyla, Lucas, Antonietta and Daniela. Our Mom was a quiet and unassuming woman who possessed an inner resilience and determination that helped her overcome several challenges over the years.  She did so with dignity, grace, and humility. She was a giving person. Family meant everything to her, and nothing made her happier than preparing a feast and having all of us over to celebrate any occasion. The aroma of fresh baking always filled her kitchen. She was a legendary baker and cook. She was an expert seamstress, working at bridal shops and later at Eaton’s in the alterations department. She made many wedding gowns and brides maid dresses over the years. She lived life on her terms and was able to stay in her own home until the last couple weeks. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and generosity. We would like to thank the compassionate and caring staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 o’clock. (1/2 hour increments) Prayers at 4 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10 o’clock. Please register by e-mailing donohue@donohuefuneralhome.ca with the first/last name and telephone number of those attending. Inurnment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
