It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Lise Marie Southon (Leger). Mom, in her 91st year, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Friday, February 11th, 2022. Mom was predeceased by our father, Paul (2017) after 65 years of marriage. Mom leaves behind her five children: Suzanne, Michael (Katie), John (Debbie), Tom (Leslie) and Diane (Phil). She will be missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Jacques and Guy, nieces and nephews and many friends. Mom is also predeceased by her parents Lucien and Lucile (Dubord) Leger and her older brother Pierre. Mom was our cornerstone. Mom’s deep faith, love of her family, painting, gardening and Christmas will always remain with us. (And of course Dollarama!)
Cremation has taken place. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, on Friday, February 18th from 11am – 1pm (1/2 hour increments). A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:30 pm at Christ the King Parish at Windermere on the Mount, 1486 Richmond Street North, London. Please email donohue@donohuefuneralhome.ca with your name, phone number, time preference for visitation and/or whether you will be attending the Mass. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
