Ciantar, Maria (nee Rizzo)

With much sorrow we announce the passing in London of Maria (Rizzo) Ciantar, on January 31, 2022 in her 95th year.  Born in Senglea, Malta on February 10, 1927.  Predeceased by her husband Emanuel (2014).  Loving mother to Antoinette Poole (Michael) and Marian Ross. Proud grandmother of Jason Poole (Belinda), Jeremy Ross (Sandra Bettencourt), Lisa Poole (Ron Andary), and Natalie Garcia (Mark).  Dear great grandmother to Corp. Bradley Poole, Ashley Poole (Lucas Pursel), Kane and Piper Garcia, Isabella and Riley Ross.  Great step grandmother to Justine and Heather Ven Huizen, and Nick and Chris Andary.  Aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews in Canada, United States and Malta.  

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on  Wednesday, February 9th from 11:30am - 12:30pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. Justin's Church, 855 Jalna Blvd., on Wednesday, February 9th at 1 pm. Due to current restrictions private entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners - Middlesex Office by CLICKING HERE or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
