After a brave and hard-fought battle, David Orlando Quintanilla passed away into eternal life on Tuesday January 4, 2022, at St Joseph’s Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 45 years to Maria Aracely Quintanilla (Flamenco). Devoted father of Kirio and Wendy (Maxwell-Smith) and son in-law Christian. Cherished grandfather of Edward, Selena, Cyrus, Caleb and Cienna. Proud great grandfather of Kayson and Rhylen. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Salvador and Eda Martinez, and many family members and friends. Predeceased by his parents Leonardo Martinez and Gladys Quintanilla, and younger brother Hugo.
David left his home country of El Salvador in 1984. He had a great passion for his career as an Industrial Technician and with great pride he utilized his skill to provide for his family for over 45 years.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm (1-hour increments). Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew The Apostal Church, 1 Fallon Lane on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 11:00am. A private family interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Registration is required for both visitation and Funeral Mass. Please email donohue@donohuefuneralhome.ca with your name, contact number and time preference. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sisters of the Precious Blood or St. Peter’s Seminary.
