Verbeem, Maria Jozina (nee de Jonge)

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Engelbertus “Bert” Verbeem. Cherished mother of Ernie (Iris) Verbeem, Adriana Verbeem (Steve), Lissette Verbeem (Murray) and Joselyn Parrell. Beloved Oma of Leigha, Sasha, Marisa, Montana, Johanus and Pieter. Survived by sister Sophia (the late Laurentius). Predeceased by parents Johannes and Adriana de Jonge, brothers Laurentius, Petrus and Wilhelmus and sister Jozina. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and Holland. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 10 am. Private family inurnment to follow. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a limited number of people are able to attend visitation and the Funeral Mass. If desired, donations made to the Alzheimer Society or the Recreation Program at Manor Village Retirement Home would be greatly appreciated.
