Gustin, Josip “Joseph”
Josip “Joseph” Gustin of London, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 6, 2021 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Katica Gustin (nee Rudman). Dearly loved father of Lovro “Larry” and Antun “Tony” Gustin. Cherished grandfather of Adam and Amanda Gustin. Dear brother of Lovro, the late Ivan and Antun Gustin. Survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and Croatia. Son of the late Josip and Barica Gustin. Born in Zorkovac, Vivodina, Croatia on August 14, 1936, Josip came to Canada in April 1972. He retired from Ford Motor Company of Canada’s St. Thomas assembly plant in 2001 after 27 years of service. A special thank-you is extended to the V.O.N nurses and PSWs and Dr. Cathy Faulds, for their excellent care and compassion. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, 2889 Westminster Drive, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11am. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, a limited number of people are able to attend each visitation period and Funeral Mass.
