Shannon and Ryan, please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother. I worked with Joan for many years and will always picture her beautiful smile and remember her generous kindness and empathy for others. The students loved her. So did her coworkers. Joan reminded me with her behavior of what we were really teaching there. She talked of you both and I remember your photos on her desk. She was a wonderful nurse, and nursing teacher. I am grateful to have known her and am sorry for your loss.
