Letter to the Family – July 10, 2021
Terry was a joy to have as a member of our Windermere on the Mount family. We are so grateful for the friendship that he generously shared with many of us.
His love of our retirement home was very much evident, as he devoted countless hours for the betterment of the community by writing and submitting interesting articles for the monthly newsletters. Terry was also very good at describing his early school years in the Toronto area and at speaking of his electrical engineering studies at Southern Cal University in California.
He was a very proud family man and spoke highly of his children’s accomplishments in business and in sports. Terry’s presence in the mezzanine was appreciated and welcomed as he was always ready to help out with questions regarding Rummikub, Scrabbles, and other board games.
Indeed, Terry was an athlete; he regularly walked and measured his performance in steps where 10,000 steps became his daily norm. Walks south to downtown and north to Masonville Mall were regular outings where he met friends for coffee.
During recent months, his illness limited some of his activities, however, as he moved about to shopping and appointments, Terry’s smile and good nature were always there to make it easy for us to offer support.
Terry … Mr. Dollard – Many are better people for having known you – You will be missed!
