DeCourcy, Joseph “Joe”

At LHSC University Hospital on Friday, June 4, 2021 Joe DeCourcy at the age of 92 years. Joe was a gentle man and a gentleman.  Always ready to listen and offer support - not criticism and fiercely protective of those he loved.  We are all blessed to have had him in our lives.

Loving husband of the late Maureen DeCourcy.  Proud father of Michele Pattyn (late Jules), Mary Joe DeCourcy (late Gord Patterson) and Paulette DeCourcy (Don McGillawee).  Cherished Grandpa Joe of Nicole Lefebvre (Kevin) and their children Sophie, Andre and Margot, Robert Pattyn (Cheryl) and their children Brittany, Matthew, and Ethan, Jules Pattyn Jr. (Sarah) and their children Isabella and Oliva and Cameron Patterson.  Dear brother of Cecile Tourigny (late Maurice) and Paul DeCourcy (Claudia). Predeceased by his siblings William DeCourcy (Cecilia) and Robert DeCourcy (Jane).  Uncle Joe will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Sunday, June 6th  from 3-315, 3:30-3:45, 4-4:15, 8-8:15 and 8:30-8:45pm   Due to Covid-19 restrictions numbers are limited.  Registration is required, please email donohue@donohuefuneralhome.ca with you name, phone number and time preference.  Masks are mandatory.  Private Funeral Mass at St. George Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, on Monday morning, June 7th at 11 o'clock.  Those wishing to join the family for the Mass via livestream please visit sgtvlondon.ca  Private family interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
