Unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in his 74th year. Survived by beloved wife Martha and her son Constantine Marzavas (Helen Sebekos). Also survived by his children Carlo Sorrenti and Sophia Teixeira (Victor) and the mother of his children Elvia Masciotra. Grandfather of Victoria, Roman, Markella and Phaidon. Brother of Frank Sorrenti (Kathy), Concetta DeBellis (Vito), Tony Sorrenti, Vincent Sorrenti (in Vancouver, Canada) and brother-in-law of Alec Avgeropoulos (Tina), John Avgeropoulos and Rev. Father Peter Avgeropoulos (Presvytera Hara). Predeceased by parents Carlo Alberto and Antonietta (nee Michienzi) Sorrenti. Special uncle of John Sorrenti (Deb Evens) and their children Eva and step-son Carter, Carlo Sorrenti, Robert Sorrenti, Francesca DeBellis and her daughter Antonia, Antonietta DeBellis (Stellios) and their daughter Sofia, Daniella Sorrenti, Yianni, Theodore, and Gregory Avgeropoulos. He will be deeply missed by his extended nieces, nephews and cousins in Thunder Bay and Windsor as well as his extended family in Italy and many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Friday, May 21, 2021 for visitation from 6-6:15, 6:30-6:45, 7-7:15, 7:30-7:45, 8-8:15, and 8:30 to 8:45pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a limited number of people are allowed to attend each visitation period. Please register with your preferred time to donohue@donohuefuneralhome.ca. A private Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10 o’clock. Those who wish to view the live stream may do so by visiting stmarylondon.ca. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
