So saddened to hear this news. My sincere condolences to Mr. Redmond, Mike, Scott and their families. Mrs. Redmond put up such a brave fight these last few years. She was a truly selfless person. I hope she is at peace and free of pain now.
As I was walking up Winblest Avenue this weekend, I was reminded of the many happy visits to the Redmond household when we were growing up, the wonderful friendship between Mr. and Mrs. Redmond and my parents, and the many kindnesses, support and guidance Mrs. Redmond provided to us after my parents' passing.
She will be deeply missed, and fondly remembered, by all of us.

Helen my friend and nursing colleague. You were the most skilled scrub nurse in the O.R. at St Joseph’s Hospital.
Our world has lost a beautiful woman with a large courageous heart full of love that she freely shared with those that needed it most. Rest In Peace Helen you have won a place with God battling with cancer and never one complaint.
Jim and family rest assured that your Wife,Mom,and Grandma will be watching over you from heaven.

Our family was blessed by getting to know Helen these past summers. Such a kind and generous spirit. Always wanting to share and laugh. Her love of kids was evident as she was always offering them desserts and treats, and she made them amazing masks from colourful materials! I will always remember her laughter , that smile and the light in those eyes. Stolen too soon - she still had so much left to give. We will honour her memory by continuing her legacy of kindness. My sincere condolences to Jim and her family at this sad time.

I am so sad to hear about Helen's passing. I met her first as a young resident in the OR at SJHC, this is now more than 30 years ago. She was a superb nurse and if you were in trouble in a case and needed a certain instrument, you did not even need to ask for it. Helen just waved it in front of your eyes. It made surgery so much easier and took the tension of crucial moments. She was a wonderful person and I have very fond memories of her. A great loss for her family and the entire extended St. Joseph's family.

We met Helen and Jim a few years ago in Bucerias, Mexico. We developed a fast friendship and have many fun memories of time spent with them both. We especially enjoyed our 3 day trip with them to Guadalajara....Helen and Jim were awesome tour guides!
Helen was always so positive and full of life and adventure......she danced on bars, played pickelball, loved to boogie board, even reset her own nose after a boogie board mishap, she loved to make friends and spend time with her friends.
Helen, we will miss your adventurous spirit and your smile, but, we are so glad you are now free from pain.
RIP our friend, love, Jackie and Carl Wermie

Helen’s passing, I am sure, is a great loss to many. There are numerous gifted surgeons in and around London who benefited from her talents and patience while learning their craft at St Joseph’s. She was with out question one of the best I ever worked with through the past forty years. She likewise gently and thoughtfully helped thousands of patients navigate the sometimes distressing journey through operative care. You can all be very proud of what she accomplished in her hospital career.
