Passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in his 78th year. Loving husband of Anna for 54 years. Cherished father of Debbie Ignagni (Greg Symons), the late Robert (Dawn) and Perry (Stephanie). Beloved grandfather of Isabella, Olivia, Sofia, Ben Lia and Nina. Survived by brother Giovanni (Ivana), Francesco (Anna), brothers-in-law Angelo Rea (the late Anna), Tony Rea (Tana), Aldo Rea (Judy) and sister-in-law Iolanda D’Amico (Franco). Predeceased by parents Sante and Maria Ignagni, sister Rosa Mariani (Michele) and Antonietta Cacciarella (Angelo), brothers-in-law Andy Rea (the late Rosy), Natale Rea (Norma) and Rodolfo Menciuni (the late Elena). He will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. A special thank-you is extended to the staff at Parkwood Institute and Victoria Hospital for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation Parkwood Institute, LHSC Victoria Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
