Sincere condolences to Genevieve’s family. I have very fond memories of being on stage with Genevieve in Goderich Little Theatre productions; admiring her unfailing zest for life, her dancing and singing abilities. She always had a smile and a positive comment when meeting her thereafter. The memories of her commitment to community and family will be a solace to those who were fortunate to know her.

I was saddened by the news of your mother’s passing on from this earthly plane where she had so many friends and kin who loved her and who knew that they were loved by her. I remember Genevieve as a warm, welcoming, wise woman who was generous, thoughtful, hospitable and lovingly concerned for others.
My sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to you all at this sad time.

To the family of Genevieve Madden
My mother Annie Vanden Heuvel and Genevieve became friends through the McKay Choristers (Goderich) and would often have lunch together at a local restaurant on Thursdays after choir rehearsal. Genevieve was also a regular at Mom's birthday gatherings, always arriving with homemade baked goods.
On behalf of my mother and my siblings I send the Madden family our sincere condolences. May the many memories fill your minds and warm your hearts.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Genevieve's passing. Such a fantastic classy lady who gave to her community in Goderich. Our connection was with Michael, Patrick and Jenny and through St. Mary's School and St. Peter's Church, but sending our sympathy to the entire Madden family. She had us over for lunch a few years ago when we were visiting with Patrick and I marvelled at how much energy she had and how she looked sooo good for her age. A class act she was and you can be very proud to have called her your mom. Take care.

To The Family. I’ve only met this wonderful lady a few times but I feel like I know her thru her beautiful daughter Genieve who I have had the pleasure of working with for many years at Canadian Blood Services. Gen would share stories about her family and the gatherings and get togethers they had . The love that she expressed about all of her family members was so touching and I so admired the love and respect she had for everyone especially her dear Mom. I feel very honoured to have had a few meat pies around Xmas time as the tradition they had was so uplifting. God Bless you all at this most difficult time and may the love and all the memories you shared give you strength . Terri Farrington

Your mom was certainly a special dynamite lady. Loved her energy, faith and kind ways. She will be remembered fondly. Wishing you peace as you reflect on a life well lived. It was wonderful that the town of Goderich and also Beta Sigma Phi gave tribute to her for her outstanding volunteerism. I was excited to see her smiling face in the Signal Star when she got to fly an airplane not too many years ago. Remembering her with a smile in my heart - A neighbour from the Britannia and Keays Street days, CWL member, theatre lover like Gen and friend. Barbara Desjardins
