COUMANS, Louise - Surrounded by her family's love, Louise Ann (Lawler) Coumans of London passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11th, 2021 in her 62nd year. Beloved wife of Peter and loving mother of Jason (Rowan), Steven, and Mark (Cheyenne). Dearest sister of Michael (Janet) and Richard (Kelly) and sister-in-law of Joanne (Barry), Monique (Gerry), Cathy (Leland), and David (Judy). Treasured aunt of Patrick, Julia (Quinn), John, Vida, Julien, Chris (Nina), Ryan (Carrie), Kevin (Biliana), Joelle, Amanda (Alan), Evan (Emily), Andrew, and Brendan (Sam). Loved great-aunt of James, Cali, Isla, Autumn, Alexis, Valerie, Abby, and Harrison. Predeceased by her nephew Shawn and her cherished friends Mary (Mike) and Sandra (Larry). The second child of the late Jim and Colma Lawler, Louise was born at home in 1959 in Sheffield, England and moved to Canada at the age of 5. In 2002, she married Peter Coumans and raised their family in London where they enjoyed their 18 years of marriage together. Louise was a devoted mother and animal lover. She will be remembered for her generous, caring nature and her characteristic wit. Music, laughter, love, and England were guaranteed in her household. She was especially fond of the arts and frequently visited the Shaw Festival Theatre. Louise had a passion for literature from a young age and dedicated her career to teaching English for nearly three decades. She will be particularly remembered for the positive impact she made on the lives of her students. The world is a much better place for having Louise in it. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. A private family service will be held in London and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a cancer charity would be appreciated.
