Obituary of Sheilagh Helen Hunt

Hunt, Sheilagh Helen (McGlone) Passed Monday, December 7th, 2020 at University Hospital from COVID-19 complications in her 79th year. She will be forever in the hearts of her sons Mark (Carla), Michael and John. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Richard Hunt (1990). Predeceased by her parents John and Mary McGlone. Survived by her 7 siblings: Norah, Janet, Kelly, John, Mike, Maureen and Fran. Sheilagh touched the hearts of all she met and showed a level of compassion matched by few others. Her work as a nursing professor, member of the Catholic Women's League and an active participant in her sons' and friends' lives will carry this love through the ages. The family thanks the staff of University Hospital for their care. A special mention for Angelique, her nurse, who was by Sheilagh’s side in her final moments, when the family couldn’t be, due to visitor restrictions. Donations in her name can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society. Due to the ongoing pandemic Sheilagh will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date, when all can attend safely.
