Obituary of Joseph Paul Lewicki

Lewicki, J.P. Joseph Paul Lewicki (29 November 1932 - 6 December 2020) died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, in his 89th year. Joe was a devoted husband and father, grandfather ("Papa") and great-grandpa, brother and uncle. He is survived by his beloved wife Elaine (nee Shantz) of 61 years; his five children, LeeAnn Corkery (Chris), Cindy Barker (Mark), Philip (Alejandro), Lisa (Eme) and Todd (Malynda); his grandchildren, Hannah (Joe), Joseph (Courtney), Ben, Peter, Daniel, Leonie, Anastasia, John Paul, Alex, Trevor, Gillian, Aniela and Nevaeh; and great-granddaughter Wren; his sister Bernice and brother John and many nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Stanislaw and Aniela Lewicki, and his brothers Bill, Ed and Charlie. Many thanks to Dr. Wisenberg and Dr.Vo and the caring team from the South West LHIN, St. Elizabeth Health and our many angels from Home Instead. Joe retired as President of Dominion Automobile Association in 1998 after 45 years of dedicated service. Joe's great passions in his life were his family, music and travel. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Church, 511 Cheapside Street, on Thursday morning, December 10 at 10 o'clock with a lunch to follow. Interment will take place at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford, on Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Due to COVID-19 restrictions as per the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, a limited number of people are able to attend the service. Masks are mandatory.
