R.I.P. To the founding Father of Lake Michigan basketball, nobody dusted the roof trusses at Empress United Church gym while shooting a basketball like Len.
Always smiling always a team player happy wherever he was, always a very competitive player in sport and life. Lost but never forgotten, your legacy of a life well lived will carry on.
Byron just lost a shining star.

Our condolences to Jeremy and the Foran family.
We were lucky to have a friend refer us to Len, who then did a wonderful job of coaching our sons' golf game to an elite level. We spent a lot of time at the Forest City range, watching swings together, while Len passed on great advice and life experiences. Whenever I mentioned that Len was our coach, it seemed that everyone knew him and had a story to share, He will be missed.

The London golf community lost one of its finest with Len's passing.I was lucky to spend a short period of time with Len at the Rob Kileen Invite this past summer and we reminissed about a playoff he had with my brother in the event many years ago.I first got to know Len as one the best amateur golfers in the country but I feel what he gave back to the game as an instructor and mentor was just as important. My sincere condolences to the Foran Family at this very difficult time..Sincerely Mike Silver

I had the opportunity of meeting and playing a few rounds with Len this past year. He was always in good spirits and a true example of courage. The last round I had with Len he saw I was struggling on the greens. True to his profession (and in his calm manner) he gave me a putting lesson with immediate positive results. We will all miss Len and I'm grateful to have spent some time with him. He was a true gentleman.

Jeremy, Margaret and all the Foran family: Thinking of all of you at this very sad time. Lenny has been part of the Fifield's lives for many years...starting with amateur golf when him and Rick competed with and against each other in their younger years, or giving lessons and running our Junior Program in St.Marys for several years, or just sitting and having a pint together!! He was such a competitor, but more importantly a gracious man. We will miss him as a golfer but we will miss him forever as a friend.

Leonard, you called me boss yet we were friends reacquainted 40 years post the Hunt Club caddy pit, where 'Foraners' were the elite. Working together for 6 years and remaining close after T&C, I will miss you my brother. You were and will always be a fabulous human being, struck down by a horrible disease before your time. 'Skynyrd', your suffering has ended. My heart aches yet each 'mini' will bring good memories. I may even order the occasional horderve to share with Jeni.
Jer, your ol' man was so proud of you, cherish what he carved out in his too short of a journey.
Len, may you now always hit them on them 'on the short stuff'. Rest in peace and some day we will meet again.

I have know Len since my high school days.
He was my good friend to me and my son Colin and golf coach for the last 18 years.
He taught me to love the game.
I golfed with Len many times. There wasn’t anywhere we went that someone didn’t know him. He would always have time for them. I met several of his students and they all spoke highly of him. Len had the best “ short game “ and teaching ability of any person I have met.
He will always be an inspiration to me for his courage and
determination.
Every tee shot I hit into the woods / every approach shot I hit into the bunker and every 4 putt I miss I will have Len standing right behind me telling me what I did wrong and encouraging me to focus and try harder. Always with a smile.
I will miss him forever.

Len was a great friend of golf. From teaching kids how to swing the club to course etiquette he was always so positive. He will be remembered for his days as “beat the pro” at the annual Ironman charity golf event. He fought the food fight. RIP my friend.
