I am so sorry to hear about Larry's passing. I enjoyed working with him for many years at Petro-Canada.
He was a true friend. Connie, I also want you to know how much I appreciated you and Larry attending
my late husband's visitation, almost 5 years ago. It was so kind of you both. Take care of yourself and
have many good memories of your life with Larry.

My deep condolences to Connie and family. I have very fond remembrances of Larry. As a teacher with child in the 1970s, Larry as a trustee went against the conventional "wisdom" and supported my continued teaching during my pregnancy. As Larry observed, "where do the children think babies come from?" I also remember Connie coming to our home with a baby gift. Larry was always upbeat and full of good ideas. He is missed.

My dad and Larry were Trustees for the Catholic School Board for a number of years. My dad had great respect for Larry and always enjoyed his company. I ran into Larry some years ago at the new Superstore at Oxford and Hyde Park Rd. He told me, "this store is bigger than the town I grew up in".

Had the pleasure of working for the Catholic Board when Larry was a trustee. Sat across the negotiation table from him many times. You could always count on honesty and fairness from Larry. Wish all trustees after him used his example.RIP

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mellen family during this difficult time. I was so blessed to spend many summers camping at the Pinery and learning oh so much from Mr. Mellen. He certainly had an amazing way of making you feel special. These are memories I will always cherish, thanks Mr. Mellen, I'm so lucky to have had you in my life.
Love always,
Kate, Brian and Myles Pooley
