Obituary of Johanna Haasen

Haasen, Johanna (Jo) Linderdina Maria Passed away peacefully at McGarrell Place, London, on October 29, 2020 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Josephus (Jos) of 58 years in 2018. Loving mother of John (Stephanie) Haasen and Joanne (Perry) Pettigrew. Proud Oma of Alexandra, Matthew, Connor and Dylan. Predeceased by her brother Harry and sisters Dini (Sjaar) and Bartje, and survived and sadly missed by her brother Jan (Mien) in Holland, and sisters Leny (Peter) in Canada and Mia in Holland, and her sister-in-laws Drika (the late Ties) in Canada, Anna and Miet in Holland, and many other family members in Canada and Holland including nieces, nephews, and friends. Following her marriage to Jos in 1960, Jo immigrated to Canada supporting Jos, raising John and Joanne, cleaning part time and having fun with her grandchildren She enjoyed visiting and entertaining family and friends, playing cards, bowling, sewing, knitting, always had a smile for everyone and liked to laugh which she did to the end. A special thank you to the staff at Inspirit Residences and McGarrell Place who cared for Jo so well the last 10 years. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 11:00-11:45am and 12:00-1:00pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00pm in the John T. Donohue Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions as per the Bereavement Authority of Ontario a limited number of people are able to attend the visitation and service.
