Obituary of Mary Gerth

Gerth, Mary (nee: Zinke) Peacefully at Elgin Manor in St. Thomas on Sunday, July 19, 2020, Mary Gerth in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late John for 70 years. Loving mother of Josephina (the late Bill) Marshall, Henry (Brenda), the late Bill (Vicki), Anna (Jim) MacDonald and Mary-Linda (Craig) Jackson. Proud Oma of Nicole (Andy), David (Cary), John (Samantha), Sjaan (Genny), Kristyn (Mark), Christopher (Hanna), Katelyn (Chris), Jessica (Shemer), Rebecca (Thurarshen) and OverOma of Brooke, Tristan, Madison, Braeden, Kelton, Sophie, Emma, Ruby, William, Jackson, and Zev. She is survived by four siblings in Holland. Mary always lived her life to the fullest and will also be remembered for her love of all games especially Rummikub and Bridge. The love she felt for her husband John, family and friends was truly reflected by the smile on her face. She leaves behind a legacy of love and the importance of family. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Vaughn and the staff at Elgin Manor Nursing Home for their compassion and care of both our mom and dad. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a service will take place by invitation only with cremation to follow. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
