GIOIOSA, Antonio

Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 Antonio Gioiosa in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Cristina (Giannantonio) Gioiosa. Loving father of Vito (Gayle) and Antony Gioiosa. Proud Nonno of Connor, Ryan, Lane and Victoria. Dear brother of Mike (Lina) and Lena Basacco (Tony) and brother-in-law of Lucia Gioiosa. Predeceased by his parents Vito and Maria Gioiosa, his brothers Donato Gioiosa, Rocco (Elvira) and his niece Mary Lou Hanson. Sadly missed by his extended family in Canada, the United States and in Italy. Antonio was a man who gave graciously to his community, in the Optimist he held the positions of treasurer, vice president and president over the years. He was a very hardworking man, available to offer advice if asked, enjoyed people, social gatherings and had a deep love for his family especially his 4 grandchildren. Antonio will be missed. The family wish to thank the staff of University Hospital for their efforts during this time. A private family entombment was held at Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
