Dodds, Mabel Marguerite (nee Burns)
Mabel Marguerite Dodds (nee Burns) passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at L.H.S.C. after a brief illness. Predeceased by husband Peter Dodds (1998), and twin sons Martin and Paul (1961). Loving Mother to Daniel, Kimberly (Dan), Leo, Mark (Aika) and Lawrence (Junko). Devoted grandmother of David (Saori), Katie, Laura, Julia, Liam, Erin, Jade, and soon to be born Samuel, and great grandmother to soon to be born Hannah. Dear sister of Helene, Lawrence, Monica, William, Anna, Leo and Donald, all of New Brunswick. Mom was born in Sillikers, New Brunswick, a tiny hamlet along the Miramichi shores. She moved to Ontario in the early 1950's and made London her home. Mom's character can best be described as selflessly loving. Her love lives on through her family and many, many dear friends. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock, with prayers at 4 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Church, 511 Cheapside Street, on Tuesday morning, 10 o'clock. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mabel to Save a Family Plan c/o St. Peter's Seminary and Sisters of the Precious Blood, London Ontario would be appreciated. The family extends sincere gratitude to LHSC for their exceptional care of our dear mom.
