BARNES, Gerard Joseph "Gerry" –
Peacefully passed away at __________________________, following a courageous battle with ALS, on _______________, 2018, Gerry Barnes in his 60th year. (61st year if after November 10, 2018) Loving husband of Trish Barnes (nee McGannon) for 28 years. (29 years if after June 17, 2018) Cherished father of Ciara Heffernan (Brendan), Conor and Fiona. Dear brother of Patricia Delahunt (Sean), Marian Finnegan (Jackie) and Elaine Murphy (John). Predeceased by his brother Val Barnes and sister Jean Boland (Brian). Gerry will be fondly remembered by all his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends in Canada and Ireland.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on _______________, from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. George Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, on ____________ morning at ___ o'clock. Cremation will follow with interment taking place in Ireland at a later date. Loving husband of Trish Barnes (nee McGannon) for 29 years. Cherished father of Ciara Heffernan (Brendan), Conor and Fiona. Dear brother of Patricia Delahunt (Sean), Marian Finnegan (Jackie) and Elaine Murphy (John). Predeceased by his brother Val Barnes and sister Jean Boland (Brian). Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, May 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. George Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. At Gerry's request, dress like it's a wedding not a funeral! Cremation will follow with interment taking place in Ireland at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Hospice, London would be appreciated.
