Dear Trish, Conor, Fiona, Ciara and Brendan. Our hearts are broken upon hearing this sad news about Gerry. I will always hold great memories of him. His smile, his sense of humour and his unwavering good mood. I will never forget how happy you were the day you both got married. I also remember your excitement when you made the big move to Canada. This move takes both courage and nerves of steel, but you two did it and made it look effortless. You made it through, made a home for yourselves and have three great children. This is testament to how great a man Gerry Barnes was. Rest In Peace Uncle Gerry, you were a true gentleman and will never be forgotten.

Trish and family, so sorry to hear about Gerry's passing. I have wonderful memories of Gerry and you Trish in our early days of settling in to life in Canada and the many times he looked after me when my little Mazda would act up. He was a true gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour. I'll always remember sitting beside him on the plane to Ireland twice within weeks of each visit and laughing the whole way home. The photo you have chosen is the Gerry I knew and I hope your memories of this wonderful man are of comfort to you at this difficult time. May he rest in peace. God bless Gerry.

Please know that our family is praying for all of you in this time of loss. Gerry was an incredible father, husband, and friend.
