Anne was a Founding Board Member and acted as Secretary for the first Board of Directors, acc. to Dr. Jack Dubois (Founding Exec. Dir.)Anne's name can be seen in our waiting room area. although I did not know her, I appreciate how much energy and effort it would have taken to get an agency like this one, off the ground! I had the privilege of caring for Anne last summer as a care provider for St. Elizabeth Health Care, when Anne was enjoying her summer at the cottage in Bayfield. Dear Tillmanns It was with great sadness that I received the call from my sister Judy advising me that Anne had died. I saw Anne when I was last visiting my Dad at Windermere and was struck by how bright and happy she looked. But then I should not have been surprised. Anne always had bright eyes, an easy warm smile and a pure and open heart. She had quite an impact on me as young person. I began to meet Tillmans as a young teenager in London and was dazzled that they just kept coming, the line up was both long and impressive...and with every one that I met, I began to recognize common qualities among the 17 children that represented the two great Tillmann clans. Invariably welcoming, warm, inclusive and loving. Maybe growing up with that many sibs and cousins you sincerely believe that there is always room for one more around the dinner table or baseball diamond. Anne will have many legacies but none will be more impactful and enduring than the talented and lovely children she brought into this world and with Bill so thoughtfully nurtured and loved so unconditionally, and then loved some more. I feel very privileged to have known Anne and her extraordinary family. Love and blessings to each and every one of you. Craig Brown

Dear Tillman/Smith cousins, My family and I were very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Please pass on my sympathies to all the members of your family for us. For many years our Aunt Anne's visits to Ottawa were a highlight in our year. Afterwards we kept up an annual correspondence around Christmas time and in the summer. We were always glad to hear all the news about our wonderful cousins. Aunt Anne was always a great friend of our Dad, Edmond Woods and he was very grateful for her friendship. Aunt Anne: You were always deceptive in such a lady-like way. And it wasn't just your personal skills at language when playing Scrabble after taking us all to the cleaners . It was way more than that. You took everyone on a ride with your clever diplomacy , always setting the unsuspecting fool, straight. And whether or not it dawned on them immediately , was not your problem. Because you would quickly vanish and make another entrance, elsewhere, with your flair.
