We would like to express our sincere condolences on the recent passing of Nick. My wife Laurie also sends her thoughts and prayers to you and your family at this difficult time. Although we have only seen Nick, a dozen times over the years, we came to realize his great kindness and compassion towards his friends and family when we moved to London in 1981. Marco and Mauro became our first friends, all the visits, a few family trips and introducing us to Italian food! The time spent growing up with the family; we will cherish the great memories of our time together. You were truly fortunate to have a man such as Nick in your life. We are so sad to hear of the passing of dear, dear Nick. He was one of the most wonderful human beings - larger than life and so full of love. His enthusiasm was catching and his smile illuminating. A kind and gentle soul, he inspired us with his wisdom and his humour. He loved life and lived it to its fullest. His hospitality was legendary as he regaled his guests with generosity, warmth and the culinary delights he was so fond of preparing. Despite his many health problems, he remained cheerful and optimistic; his faith never shaken. But most of all he loved his family. His face would light up as he spoke of Maria, their children and grandchildren. We feel honured and blessed to have known him and we shall miss him terribly.The world has lost a real treasure.
