Our thoughts and prayers are with Cathy and her family on the passing of Bob. Bob was a one of a kind. A true gentleman. Worked with Bob in the battery division in London and Kitchener for 10 years. The best boss anyone could have asked for. Bob was always there either in person or on the phone, a hard worker, dedicated to his team and customers. We will miss him. My sincere condolences.
Bob was great guy! He gave my an opportunity as a lift truck technician 19 years ago and I'm fortunate to have learned from one of the best. Bob was a hard worker and would travel countless hours to make sure our customers and employees were looked after. A good number of people in the material handling industry called him " Battery Bob ". One thing I will always remember was Bob asking if I was working safe and would often ask if I needed anything. He cared about others and would do anything to assist regardless of the situation. I enjoyed the time on the golf course with him and it was apparent Bob was looking forward to a few more foot wedges upon his retirement and most importantly, time with his family. We lost one of the good guys and I'm thankful Bob gave me a chance here at Liftow.

MY MOST SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF BOB . BOB AND I WORKED TOGETHER FOR 15 YEARS AT LIFTOW AND BOB WAS THE ONE WHO HIRED ME. BOB WAS ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS , AN EXCELLENT MANAGER OF BOTH PEOPLE AND OF THE BATTERY BUSINESS. WE SHARED MANY LAUGHS AS WELL AS SERIOUS MOMENTS . WHEN I NEEDED SOMETHING JOB RELATED BOB ALWAYS DELIVERED. A VERY EASY GOING GUY WHO NEVER GOT WORKED UP OVER WORK ISSUES, AND AN INCREDIBLY HARD WORKER. MY FATHER ALSO WORKED FOR BOB AT LIFTOW AND THE TWO OF THEM WERE GOOD WORK FRIENDS . MY DAD PASSED A YEAR AGO AND I CAN SEE THE TWO OF THEM HAVING A LAUGH IN HEAVEN. UNCLE BOB AS WE ALL CALLED HIM FOR HIS FATHERLY NATURE WILL BE SADLY MISSED..RIP TODD JACK

To the Robert Richardson family: in the words of the immortal Tina Turner, your dad and husband was simply the best. I remember him for his humor, quiet, subtle, not so subtle upfront, and in your face at times, but definitely to the point. Bob, to me was a Family man. To me he went all out for Family. He cared deeply and I think too often he took it on too much, but he always came through. And what can be said about how cool both your mom and dad were and are as a couple. I don’t know another couple on this planet that are more cool than they are seriously. When I was 19 and looking for a place to get away from it all, it was over at Bob and Cathy’s. it was there that you felt love beyond just the confines of your own home. You knew you could count on them for anything. More recently when travelling up to Phil‘s cottage one weekend, I had the distinct pleasure of sharing with Bob, our love for the Virgin Mary, and how sacred she was to both of us and how powerful she was in our lives personally and how important she was to those in our families how she protected and guided members of our family, even when they didn’t see it. Bob’s faith was his strength through and through, and I don’t doubt it rewards him in his next life.

Can’t honestly say I knew Mr. Robert that much. But, even that short period of time and contact was more than enough to see and feel clearly how kind and thoughtful he was to me and my family.
I’ll keep a special frame in my mind: the day my brother in law took me and my son for a morning golfing with him.
The patience and dedication to explain to my son the best way and tricks to do it better is absolutely unforgettable.
Wherever you are now Sr. I am sure you are in peace and better than all of us. I feel blessed for having the opportunity to cross paths with you in this life.
To the family, friends and the ones related with Mr. Robert, remember this: He will always be with you all as long as you have him in your minds and souls. I’m sure it’s gonna be that way.
