Peacefully at McCormick Home, on Sunday, October 1, 2023 Michael Vita in his 73rd year.  Loving husband of 33 years to Joan Vita.  Much loved father of Matthew (Maggy Godard), Laura (Ryan Dougherty) and Mark.  Dear brother of Frank Vita (late Mary Gillick), brother in law of Jan McIntyre (Don) and brother in heart of Paul Vita (Donna).   Uncle Mike will be fondly remembered by his nieces Anne, Erin and Kate and their families.  Mike was a dedicated special education teacher, a passionate musician, and talented artist and photographer.  The family wishes to thank Christine Dermenjian and Margaret Novakowski for supporting Mike and our family throughout his illness and also the dedicated staff at McCormick Home for their kind and compassionate care of Mike.  

Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, October 5 from 6-9 pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, on Friday morning, October 6 at 10 o'clock.  Reception following the Mass.  Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock.  Donations to McCormick Care Foundation or L'Arche London would be appreciated.
