Where to begin with remembering a person as kind, loving and genuine as Uncle Bruno? I recall many fun Christmases with small gift exchanges between our families, and as an adult, appreciate the gap they helped to fill during very trying times for my family. I remember an uncle that we would wait impatiently for at family reunions because his arrival meant poring over pictures from the reunion before. Unlike today, we had to wait a whole year to see if we looked good in the pics, and they sure didn't get deleted if we didn't! But most of all, I remember a quiet, humble person who shared his love of teaching (and some materials that I still have) with me and gave some great advice about how to teach and lead students. He had a gentle voice, a reassuring laugh and a calming presence that just made things feel right. He will be missed greatly, but remembered with love and admiration forever!
