It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Toye, beloved husband of Karen (nee McNorgan) at home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in his 75th year. He leaves behind his adored children Tania (Travas Mackay), Greg (Sharon), Jonathan (Cheryl Jackson), Jeffrey (Emily Suich) and James (Michelle McKegney) and grandchildren Ellie, Jack, Wesley, and Hazel, who were the light of his life.
Steve was very devoted to his 51-year career in the Group Insurance Industry with Metropolitan Life, Prudential Life and Manulife. In his retirement years, he enjoyed gardening, cooking, woodworking, playing the guitar, watching hockey and most of all spending time with his family.
A Private Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 11 o’clock. Friends and family are welcome one hour prior to the service for visiting at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, a limited number of people are able to attend the service. Please register by emailing donohue@donohuefuneralhome.ca with the first/last name and telephone number of all those attending. Inurnment is to take place at a later date.
