Karen and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working directly with Steve in Underwriting at Manulife for more than 10 years but kept in touch beyond that time. What I loved most about Steve was that he tried to present this crusty, grumpy exterior but if you were fortunate enough to get to know him, you quickly learned he had a heart of gold. His love for his family shone through every conversation. I have so many happy memories of his quick and cleaver banter and incessant teasing. He was a one-of-a-kind who will be deeply missed. I will remember him fondly.

My heart breaks for you all. I worked with Steve and Karen at Metropolitan Life and last saw him at the Met Life alumni golf tournament in 2019.
