Obituary of Thomas Nicholas FitzPatrick

Add his picture and K of C crest. FitzPatrick, Thomas Peacefully passed away at LHSC University Hospital on Monday, December 12, 2016 Thomas Nicholas FitzPatrick in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Theresa (nee McLaughlin) FitzPatrick for 64 years. Loving father of Brian, Colleen Pungitore (Joe), Richard, all of London and Charlene Sloane (Mike) of Auckland, New Zealand. Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Elizabeth), Ryan (Stacey), Joshua (Alyssa), Aidan, Liam, Emily and Abby. Dear great grandfather of Isabella. Predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Vincent, Basil, and Francis and his sisters Rita and Monica. Dear brother in law of Bonnie, Tom (Mary Ann), and Marc. Predeceased by Theresa's siblings Mary, Ed, Rosemarie, Peggy, and Bill. Tom will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Tom was born on December 30th, 1926 in Lansing, Ontario. Later moving to London where he met Theresa in 1950 at the Regis Club. They were married on June 28, 1952. Tom was an active member of St. John the Divine Parish and was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Tom was well known in the London Sporting Community for his umpiring, refereeing, skate sharpening spanning 50 years. He was an avid and longtime member of the Highland Country Club. Retired from London Hydro after 35 years in 1985. Thanks to Father Pio D'Oria and the St John the Divine CWL for all their support during this difficult time. Our family extends their heart-felt appreciation for the tremendous care Tom received from Chershire Homes support, Chelsey Park, Village of Glendale Crossing Nursing Homes and University Hospital staff over the last 2 years. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, December 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road West, on Friday morning, December 16th at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson, Heart & Stroke, and to St John the Divine Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
