Damen Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Monday, July 19, 1999, Gerardus H. (Gerry) Damen, in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wife Gerarda (1988). Loving father of Elizabeth and Hubert Grimminck and Bert Damen of London, Mary and John Michiels of Komoka and Anne and Harry Giesen of Denfield, Bernie and Tony Van Ryswyk of Salford, John and Carol Damen of Dorchester, Jerry and Kim Damen of Strathroy, Gerda and Jim Hunter of London. Lovingly remembered by 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by 2 brothers, William of Lucan and John of Holland and 1 sister Marie Jansen and her husband Henry of Parkhill. Predeceased by his brother Arnold (1998) and his 4 sisters in Holland. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Church, 777 Valetta Street, on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Donations to the Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
