Obituary of Edward Saltarski

Passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on November 12, 2015, in his 93rd year, one day after being honored one more time as a WWII veteran. Ed proudly served overseas as a member of the Canadian armed forces. Beloved husband and best friend, for 61 years, of Jeannette (nee McCormick). Cherished father of Judy Wilson (Bob), Marianne Peckham (late Rob), Patti MacLennan, Diana Joschko (Rick) and Grant. Proud grandfather of Bradley, Kirsten, Stephanie, Alexandra, Nichole, Natalie. Brother of Joe Saltarski (Chilliwack, BC). Loving uncle of Donald Cabak, John Kobeleski and Joey Saltarski (Chilliwack, BC). Special thanks to extended family members Regina Carr and Anna Smith. The Saltarski family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Chow and the staff on the 6th floor at University Hospital. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday November 16th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London Ontario, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date. Prayers Monday evening at 8 o'clock. Ed was loved and will be missed by so many who have called the Saltarski house home over the years. In lieu of flowers donations to the MS Society will be appreciated.
