Obituary of Umberto Curcio
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Umberto Curcio peacefully with numerous family members surrounding him on Monday November 2, 2015, at the age of 79. Devoted and loving husband of 52 wonderful years to Maria (Gaudio). Proud and loving father of Giovanni /Lillian, Victoria, Luigino/Chantille. Cherished brother of Fioramonte/Mariettina Curcio, Velia Bova, Concetta Gugliotta, Letizia/Luciano Mazzariol, Ortenzia/Manfredo Valente, Francesco/Maria Curcio, Gioconda/Angelo Trovato. Loving brother in law of Elizabetta Curcio, Gina Curcio, Sara Mazzotta, Victor Buragina. Cousin of Dominic/Teresa Michienzi. Jokester uncle to many nieces and nephews whom he loved to spoil and entertain. Predeceased by: his parents Giovanni and Vittoria; his brothers Domenico and Mario; sisters Yolanda/Battisata Loberto and Vincenza Buragina; brothers in law John Gaudio, Pasquale Mazzotta, Antonio Gugliotta, and Antonio Bova. The family wish to thank the generous and dedicated staff at Parkwood Hospital - 3B East and West, for giving Umberto a 'home away from home'. We wish to also express our gratitude to the numerous CCAC personal support workers that assisted Umberto. Visitors will be received at JOHN T. DONOHUE FUNERAL HOME, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, November 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Friday morning, November 6th, 11'oclock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Thursday afternoon at 3'oclock. In lieu of flowers Mass cards for Umberto or donations to the Parkinson Society would be appreciated.
