Obituary of Marilyn Carol Whelan

Whelan, Marilyn Carol It is with sadness and many wonderful memories that we announce the passing of our dear mother, and grandmother peacefully in her sleep on October 8, 2015 age 78 years. We thank her for her love, guidance, and support. She battled her illness with strength and grace. Marilyn Carol Whelan (nee Costigan) loving wife of the late Wesley, dearly loved mother and mother in law of Stephen and Cathy Whelan of Port Rowan, Ontario, Joanne and David Duff of Novi, Michigan, and John and Pam Whelan of Kitchener, Ontario. Cherished “Nanny” of Ben and Petya Whelan, Megan Whelan (Dave Rudd), Nick, Jordan, and Madison Duff, and Zachary and Zane Whelan. Dear sister of Gary Costigan of Dallas, Texas. Dear sister in law of Molly Dougan of Montreal, Quebec. Predeceased by her beloved husband Wes, son Terry, her parents John and Miriam Costigan, her in laws Allan and Muriel Whelan, brother Allan Costigan, brother in law Albert Dougan, and infant grandson Maxwell Duff. Our sincere gratitude to all who supported us through Marilyn’s illness, family and friends, Dr. David Dixon of West London Family Health Centre, CCAC, VON and Care by Angels. Cremation has taken place and as per Marilyn’s wishes there will be no visitation. Private family graveside service will take place. Family, friends, and neighbors are invited to a celebration of Marilyn’s life at Bellamere Winery and Event Centre, 1260 Gainsborough Road, London, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 2 to 5 pm.
