Obituary of Bernice Walzak

Peacefully at Chartwell Nursing Home in London on Friday, October 2nd, 2015, Bernice Walzak in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Stanley J. Walzak (1996). Dear mother of Joseph and his wife Janice, Mary Jane and her husband John Kabel, Patrick and Aneta, and Paul and his wife Alice. Dear grandmother of Jess, Jacob, Carrie, Tyler, Casey, Veronica and Meaghan. Great grandmother of Anthony. Dear sister of Catherine Walters of Thunder Bay. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Vernard Mitchell, Lauretta Carrigan, Leo Mitchell, Clarence Mitchell, Tom Mitchell, Marie Ross and Harvey Mitchell. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Bernice was a long time member of the Catholic Womens League, serving as President at St. Andrews Parish and in many other roles in St. Patricks and Blessed Sacrament Parishes in London. We would like to thank the staff at Chartwell (Pinebrook) on Blackwater Road for the wonderful care and support they have given our mother. It is appreciated. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday, October 4 from 1-4 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church, 377 Oakland Avenue at Dundas Street, on Monday morning, October 5, at 11 o'clock. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. In honour of Mom's love of hats, please feel free to wear your best hat to the visitation or the funeral.
