It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Luciana Colaiacovo Mastrogiuseppe who passed away peacefully in the arms of the Lord on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Parkwood Institute in her 76th year. Luciana is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Antonio, cherished mother of Anna Houlton and Carlo (Michelle). Adored grandmother and Nonnina of Carlo Jr (C.J.), Samantha and Dante. Luciana is leaving behind her two best friends and dearly loved sisters, Carmela Liberatore and Olga DiVirgilio. Predeceased by her brother-in-laws Gino Liberatore and Gabriele DiVirgilio. Luciana will be dearly missed by brother-in-law Ezio Mastrogiuseppe (Maria), nieces, a nephew, many cousins and friends. Luciana’s tremendous courage, silent acceptance and strong will to live, carried her family through many years of challenges and heartache. Luciana’s passing will leave an unfillable void for those who knew and loved her. The family would like to extend great thanks to the staff at Parkwood Complex Care 3AE who cared for Luciana for the last 3 years. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, August 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum - St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers on Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Donations to the Parkwood Institute Complex Continuing Care Fund will be greatly appreciated by the family.
