Obituary of Stanley Ray Broadfoot
Broadfoot, Stanley "Bud"
It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley Ray (Bud) Broadfoot on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the age of 80. Beloved father of Nancy (Chris) Zettler and Steven Broadfoot. Predeceased by his wife Patricia, loved partner of Dianne Turner. Loving grandfather of Stephanie (Nathan) Soares, Mackenzie, Delanie Zettler and Samuel and Elise Broadfoot. Great-grandfather of Aidan and Ella Soares. Dear friend and mentor of Desiree and Harold Turnbull and their son Jeffery (Carly), Jim (Karen) Turner and their children Ryan, Max and Montana and Holly Turner. Stanley was blessed with his sisters Pat Spencer, Mary Jane (deceased), Jeanette Gouthro, Shirley Messeroll (Lloyd), Ruth Hill (Terry) and Dianne Broadfoot and sister-in-law Mary Mitchell. Bud led a very distinguished life. As owner and president of J. A. Brownlee Ltd for over 50 years he provided inspiration to many youth apprentices who aspired to fulfill their career in the roofing and sheet metal industry. More importantly he patiently took the time to assist those that worked with him to become leaders. His legacy of kindness, empathy and love has left an indelible mark for everyone that was blessed to know him. A special thank you for the personal care and compassion that Stanley received from the 6th floor staff at University Hospital, specifically his nurse Marguarita and Dr. Vivian Chau. Friends will be received by family at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, Ontario on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the London Food Bank.
