Dear Karen, Jim, Martin and families, We are very sorry to hear about the loss of your dad and granddad. Our sincere condolences. For us uncle Piet used to be our “far away uncle” from Canada. And still we knew him pretty well because of his visits to Holland, his stays with our parents Ton and Riet in Hilvarenbeek and because of the many stories our parents told us about your (grand)dad. Dear Martin, Jim, Karen and families. We are deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your dad, grandfather and friend. We've met 'Ome Piet' and 'Tante Annie' several times during their visits to Holland (Moergestel), and it always feels very familiar to see them again. Also my mother ('Tante Wies') was looking forward to these vacations and together they had a great time, smoking sigarets and drinking whiskey.
