DiCesare, Filippa Cristina It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Filippa "Cristina" DiCesare peacefully at Victoria Hospital on November 11, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of Domenico, adored mother of Giovanna and Alfonso DiTrolio and Rita and Renato Bonasia. Cherished grandmother of Joseph and his wife Keelan DiTrolio, Domenico DiTrolio, Joseph Bonasia, Francesca Bonasia, Cristina Bonasia, Renata and her husband David Bruno and David Bonasia, precious great-grandmother of Avelina and Leandro DiTrolio. Dear sister of Assunta D'Alessandro and Salvatore and his wife Edera Petrella, sister in law Rosalina DiCesare and Adua Petrella. Predeceased by her parents Paola and Antonio Petrella, brother Cesidio and his wife Nunziata Petrella, brother Panfilo Petrella, brothers in law Antonio and Aquilino DiCesare, and Domenico D'Alessandro, sisters in law Maria Rubini and her husband Giuseppe and Rosalinda DiCesare. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews here in Canada, Italy and France. Cristina was a true matriarch to our family and a mother to all. During her many years working at St. Joseph's Hospital patients called her their sunshine when she entered their rooms. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, November 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock with prayers at 3 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Saturday morning at 11:30 am. Entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
