de Vries At home surrounded by his family on Wednesday October 29, 2014, Tony de Vries at the age of 82, beloved husband of Rieky. Loving father of Ed, Patrick and Julie, Mariann and Dave, Robert and Jennifer. Dear Opa of Rebecca, Kyle (Jennifer), Megan, Emily, Sydney, Vienna, Edin, Sheridyn. Tony was the youngest of 12 children . He will be fondly remembered by his siblings and their families in Canada and Holland. He was a first class stationary engineer and a teacher at Fanshawe College. He was an avid bird and animal lover and was passionate about his family, his card games and his beliefs. Visitors will be recieved at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church, 377 Oakland Avenue, on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Cremation to follow, with interment in St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date.
