When we first met Eric he picked me up and hugged me until it felt like my lungs were going to collapse. I was scared skinny of this massive man, but after spending just a few minutes with him I realized Eric was just a fun loving teddy bear. Every time we were together I knew that I was going to get one of those big old hugs from Eric. We are grateful for having Eric in our lives. Just as he did well he was alive our memories of Eric shall always put a smile on our faces. We will miss those bear hugs and slaps on the backs. Rest peacefully our giant teddy bear. Very sad to learn of Eric's passing. The strength of character that he demonstrated, daily, throughout his life will be missed. When reflecting on the time, years ago, that I was fortunate to enjoy Eric's wonderful disposition on a regular basis, he always blended his great sense of humour with his "get it done" attitude. Our thoughts are with his many friends and family during this difficult time.
