Obituary of Gloria Dorothea Marshall

MARSHALL, Gloria Dorothea (nee: McGee) It is with heavy hearts, but a sense of peace that we announce the passing of our mother, Gloria Marshall at Meadow Park Long Term Care on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in her 94th year. Gloria is reunited with her beloved husband of 74 years, Kenneth (Ken) Marshall and her son David Marshall. Loved mother of Marian Bates (Wes), Robert (Nancy), Christine Bruckschwaiger (Adam), Michael (Sue), Lydia Plaine (Robert), Tony (Sherry), and George. Cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Marilyn as well as her extended family in Canada, Britain and South Africa. Born in Cape Town, SA, she was very proud of her heritage and spoke often of her family and meeting our dad, who was stationed there with the Royal British Merchant Navy during WWII. A heartfelt thank you to the staff and fellow resident’s at Meadow Park. Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will take place at a later date.
