Obituary of Laura Sweeney

After a lifetime struggle with Polio and a recent battle with cancer, Laura was surrounded by her loving family as she was freed from pain on Friday, January 24, 2020, just short of her 70th birthday. Laura lived her life with a strong positive attitude and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Tracy A. Noxell, sisters Sharon Birch, Darlene McKaig and Leda (Jim) Jarrett, brothers Gordon, Carl (Jackie) and Ken McKaig. Survived by husband G. Peter Sweeney. Laura is also survived by her several nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her ever smiling face. Predeceased by her son Mark A. Noxell, her first husband Robert Noxell, sisters June, Mildred and Patricia and brothers Bill, Raymond and Jerry. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 5 to 8 o`clock. Funeral service to be held in the John T. Donohue Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 12 o`clock. Interment to follow at St. Peter`s Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the LHSC – Victoria Hospital Cancer Center would be greatly appreciated.
