Obituary of Giovanni Parente

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, on Sunday, January 19, 2020 in his 81st year. Predeceased by loving wife Teresa in 2003. Cherished father of Francesca (Robin), Carmine (Rosanna) and Maria. Beloved Nonno of Madeleine, William and John. Survived by his two brothers in Italy, Bruno and Antonio and brother-in-law Giuseppe. Predeceased by his parents Francesca (nee Berardi) and Carmine Parente and his sisters Santa, Rosa and Maria. Giovanni will be deeply missed by all of his nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and Italy. Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Base Line Road West, on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10 o’clock. Entombment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
