Loving husband of 56 years of Mary Jane (nee Wraight) Keaney. Loved father of Lisa Ann, Jamie Adam, John Bernard and Kelly Jane. Proud grandpa of Keira and Krysten Quan, Chloe, Cameron and Nicolette Keaney, Dylan Keaney and Ryan and Jamie Keller. Dear brother of Douglas (Jill) Keaney and Joyce Stewart. Predeceased by his sister Cecelia Spekner and his brother Tom Keaney. James was a longtime employee of Canada Post and a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday, August 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Prayers will be held at 3 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road West, on Friday morning, August 2nd at 11 o'clock. Cremation with interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
