Obituary of William Pond

Pond, William "Bill" Peacefully at home surrounded by his family Saturday July 5th 2014, William "Bill" Pond of London, formerly of St. John's, Newfoundland, in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Wyn; predeceased by his late wife Betty. Dear father of Edward (Nicole) and Stephen (Nora) Pond. Cherished Grampy of Sarah (Mark) and Christopher Pond. Bill will be fondly missed by Ron (Rhonda) Milton and Patty (Steve) Hunking, along with their children Megan and Meredith Milton and Dustin and Donika Hunking. Bill was a proud veteran, having dedicated 31 years serving his country with the R.C.A.F. He was also a U.N. peacekeeper. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 o'clock. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Parish, 511 Cheapside Street, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Cremation to follow, with interment at a later date. Prayers Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Bill would be appreciated.
