DeSando, Maria (Nee Trovato) Peacefully, surrounded by her children, at LHSC - University Hospital on June 14, 2014 Maria DeSando in her 86th year. Maria was born on October 1, 1928 in Acconia, Italy. Beloved wife of the late Bruno DeSando (1988). Loving daughter of the late Giovanni Battista and Angelina Trovato. Cherished mother of Rosa (Elia) Bilotta, Angela (Tony) Ferri, Connie (Agostino) Iavazzi, John (Debbie) DeSando, Fred (Ellen) DeSando, Battista DeSando, Joe DeSando, Isabella (Frank) Lepore, Domenic/Mimmo (Jodi) DeSando. Proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Predeceased sister of Frank Sorrenti, Vincenzo & Caterina Sorrenti, Francesca & Guiseppe Moralli. Surviving siblings Domenico (Maria) Trovato and Vittoria (late Vincenzo) Gugliotta, all of Italy. Beloved sister-in-law of Concetta DeSando (late Francesco Colombo), of Italy, Palma & Antonio Perrugino, Anna DeSando (late Domenico), late Isabella & Bruno Predonzan, Concettina DeSando (late Giuseppe), Vincenzo DeSando (late Adelina). Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday June 16th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday June 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum - St. Peter's Cemetery.
